We form Brazilian subsidiaries and special purpose entities to exploit energy potential by; performing legal viability analysis in generating projects including for alternative sources; representing clients before regulatory agencies and other government agencies, providing expert advice on all areas of law related to the water and energy sectors. Additionally, we provide specialist advice to clients in their dealings with electric utility concessionaires.

Our team is qualified to; prepare legal opinions on judicial and regulatory issues related to the water and energy sectors; negotiate contracts for energy use, access and connection to transmission and distribution systems (CUSD, CCD, CUST, CCT); assist customers in implementing the Electric Energy Chamber of Commercialization’s (CCEE) energy marketing rules and procedures, National Operator System Procedures (ONS) and Distribution Procedures (PRODIST), in addition to enabling participation in energy tenders.
